I am so excited to start this photo challenge!
I have promised myself that I will do all 12 of these.
It will be so fun to look back on at the end of the year
and a lovely way to document each month
and include pictures and events that I haven't blogged about.
January 2012
* Avie started back at school...still loving going every day.
* Lily is talking non-stop and we are understanding more and more of what she says
* We've had lazy weekends and trips to the park and been out for babycinnos and cookies
* Avie has become so attached to Zoe Zebra who she got from Santa at Longleat
and Lily copies with her Annie ("a-e" in her little voice) the Elephant
* Lily insists on having her hair in a ponytail/bunches every day like Woo-Woo
* Lily still calls Avie woo-woo and i still secretly hope she never grows out of it.....
* Bryn and I dressed up as Ghostbusters for my best friend's 30th 80's themed party
* I started to gather things to satisfy my new found crafty / sewing / photo fever
(I really wanted to use Rebecca's template and seeing as I got Photoshop Elements 10 for christmas, I was looking forward to it..but I haven't got a clue how to use Photoshop - is it just me??? I am clueless!
Will work on it and maybe next month.....maybe!
Linking up with the lovely Rebecca

Did you make your collage in picnik?? It turned out really cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes I used picnik!
DeleteLovely pics! And such a cute blog:)
ReplyDeleteyour collage looks so great Sarah! :) you captured some great memories in January. :) good luck with photoshop. there's definitely a learning curve but you'll get the hang of it, I just know it!! :)
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to take part in Rebecca's link up, but I have just never quite made it. :-) I used to be totally and hopelessly confused by Photoshop Elements, but I took a class at JessicaSprague.com. It's a little pricey, but she is soooo good at explaining how to do things. You watch her do it on her computer screen and she talks you through it at the same time. Also, the videos are accessible to you forever, so if you forget how to do something, you can log back into your account and get a refresher. I really can't recommend the class enough if you really want to learn the program quickly. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe class is called Up and Running with Photoshop, here's the link. It's helpful for Photoshop even if you don't want to use it for digital scrapbooking. :-)

Thank you so much Kim for such a helpful comment. I will definitely have a look at this as I feel like I am getting nowhere with it on my own! So kind of you to take the time to give me all of this information. Thank you. x
Deletei never, ever would have learned photoshop without a class. i am so thankful that i started from scratch so i didn't have to relearn anything. i actually cried a little during the first week of the class because it was tough, but now i love photoshop and can't wait to take the intermediate class next week. love your month of photos. i need to take on that challenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kara, i will definitely look into a class. I have still got to work on just taking the photos - since taking Ashley Ann's class I have hardly practised. That is my mission for the next few weeks!
DeleteI started the 365 day photo challenge and the weekly one you are doing and couldn't keep up with it! The month of photos suits me down to the ground..i would definitely do it...it's going to be great to look back at all 12 at the end of the year.
