Leap Year 2016

29th February 2012 - a leap year

I'm not sure why but I feel the need to mark this leap year day! 

It only happens once every four years so it's quite special i guess! 

It's made me wonder what we will be doing by the time the next leap year comes around...2016.

Avie will be 9 years old and Lily will be 6 years old! 
Frightening! 
I have no idea how to be a mother to a 9 year old! 
I hope Avie makes it easy on me!

I hope you are both loving life, enjoying school, have great friends and are still as care free as you are at 2 and 5. 

I hope you are having fun making memories every day and are not feeling pressured in any way to grow up too soon. 

I hope you still love snuggling up to me any chance you get -
{you will never be too old to do that...i really hope you still want to}

You will be beautiful just as you are today..inside and out and i know you will continue to amaze me with how intelligent, kind, caring and gentle you are.

I hope you are closer than ever...you are now just starting to really play with each other, although Lily you are going through a phase of annoying your sister a lot recently..hopefully that phase has been long gone by 2016! 

What i do know is you both love each other and look out for each other and it stops me in  my tracks when I see the ways you show your affection for each other.  I will never tire of seeing this...I know you will be life long friends!

I am honoured to be your mummy. 

I feel lucky every second of every day.

I cannot wait to see what life has in store for you

and I am so excited to be watching you from the wings.
